Who We Are

We are a public educational institution under the Regional Ministry of Education, specialising in language teaching. Our official certificates are recognised throughout Spain and facilitate international employment mobility, as well as access to educational and university institutions across Europe. In addition, the B2 and C1 certificates enable many teachers to work in bilingual schools.

Applicants for Spanish nationality through residence may demonstrate their basic knowledge of Spanish by presenting official certificates at levels A1 through C1.

EDUCATIONAL OFFER

Languages: German, Spanish, Chinese, French, English, Italian, and Portuguese.

Levels: Beginner (A1 and A2), Intermediate (B1 and B2), Advanced (C1 and C2*).

Certification (according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) of the Council of Europe): Beginner (A1 and A2), Intermediate (B1 and B2), Advanced (C1 and C2*). *C2 is available in German, French, and English.

Course Structure & Academic Calendar

The school year runs from October to May. For Spanish, we also offer intensive courses organised into two semesters. Students attend 4,5  hours of lessons per week, 120 hours per year.

Admission

The main admission period takes place between April and May of the previous academic
year.
Remaining places (vacant seats) may be requested during September.

Erasmus+ Programm

Since 2023, the EOI of León has participated in several Erasmus+ KA122 mobility
projects aimed at teacher training, and it holds the accreditation for the 2024–2027 period. We began by carrying out a KA122 project in 2023 focused on teacher training. Since obtaining our accreditation in 2024, we have been implementing KA121 projects that include mobility opportunities for both teachers and students.

On-site: German, Spanish, French, English, Italian, and Portuguese (4.5 hours per week on alternate days).

Distance learning: That’s English programme (English).

Independent candidate: Certification examinations leading to official language certificates.
